COMETES project launched 🚀

Launch of the COMETES project, winner of the “CompĂ©tences et MĂ©tiers d’Avenir” call for expressions of interest, financed by the ANR to the tune of 20M€ (coordinated by the University of Toulouse ISAE-SUPAERO)
The University of Montpellier’s Space Center (CSUM) and the Van Allen Foundation have been involved in setting up this ambitious program since its genesis, two and a half years ago!
Over €2.1M has been allocated to the University of Montpellier on behalf of its Space Center and Van Allen Foundation for the next 5 years.

What’s it all about?

  • Promote careers in the space industry in Occitanie Est among young people in higher education, high schools and colleges; feminize and diversify profiles;
  • Strengthen Montpellier’s BAC+6 Mastère DĂ©veloppement des Systèmes Spatiaux and BAC+3 Bachelor IntĂ©gration des ProcĂ©dĂ©s option AITSS (Assemblage, IntĂ©gration, Tests de systèmes spatiaux) training programs;
  • Participate in the development of a constellation of educational #nanosatellites, a 1st in France!
