Middle school students discover space

We had the pleasure of welcoming two groups of middle school students as part of the University of Montpellier’s “A Week at UM” program at the University of Montpellier Space Center (CSUM) for a new initiative to raise awareness of careers in space.
During these visits, led by Sophie Teullet, Scientific Promotion Officer, the students were able to immerse themselves in the workings of a mini space agency and talk to Oriane Rouher, systems engineer, and Emilien Morlet, mission analysis and orbitography #engineer.
It was a great opportunity to discover our professions, explore the world of #nanosatellites, and inspire vocations in the space industry.

This is a new initiative led by #FVA as part of the COMETES project – Skills and Professions for Space.

The schools represented are Saint François Régis, François Rabelais, Pic-Saint-Loup, Camille Claudel Joffre, Louis Germain, La Champagne, Pierre Mendès France, La voie Domitienne, Marcel Pagnol, and Teilhard de Chardin.
