20 Years of the University of Montpellier’s ROBUSTA Adventure: A Look Back at an Exceptional Edition of the 14th Annual Van Allen Foundation (FVA) Partners’ Club Event! 🛰️
On September 24, the Foundation brought together about 100 leading figures from the #space sector, institutional representatives, and members of the press at the SYMETRIE offices.
The morning featured discussions on technological innovation and the challenges of New Space, notably with presentations by Florence Dufrasnes, Pierre Maurice, and Laurent PATIER (PhD), alongside our President Michel Tognini.
The afternoon was a time for celebration and a birthday party! 🎉Our Executive Director, Laurent Dusseau, reflected on this incredible nanosatellite adventure with the pioneers from the University of Montpellier Space Center (CSUM) and Michel Courtois, the Foundation’s Founding President, with input from Lionel Suchet, Deputy Director General of CNES. Joining us remotely, our Honorary Patron Claudie Haigneré expressed her support and reaffirmed her pride in supporting our efforts. The day concluded with a talk by Patrick Deixonne, navigator, explorer, and founder of the association Expédition 7e Continent, whose commitment resonates with our values.
